Dr. Ragan grew up in several states across the country from coast to coast. Growing up in the commercial airline industry always kept her family on the move from one state to the next, but once she got to Texas she knew this place was home.
Dr. Ragan completed her undergraduate studies here at Angelo State University where she was a founding member of the Pre-Vet Society. During this time, she worked as a veterinary technician here at Western Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Ragan completed her pre-clinical studies for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in St. Kitts and Nevis. While attending, she was a founding member of the Donkey Club which aimed to teach fellow vet students about what makes donkeys so unique, and focused on donkey and mule-specific behavior. She then returned home to Texas to complete her clinical training at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Ragan enjoys caring for all species of animals as a true mixed-animal practitioner treating companion animals, horses, and livestock… although donkeys hold a special place in her heart.
During her free time, Dr. Ragan enjoys spending time with her fiance and their three dogs. They like to spend most of their time outdoors going fishing, hunting, and hiking.
